Book signing features local teen

La Cañada Books & Toys, 653 Foothill Blvd., is hosting a signing for the book “Danny and Goliath,” which is illustrated by Danielle Bowman, a 15-year-old La Cañada High School sophomore. Danielle is a self-taught animator with autism.

“Danny and Goliath” is a children’s book created by John Benjamin Martin, Joey Travolta and Richard Willich that deals with overcoming bullying.

The signing will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. Proceeds from the sale of “Danny and Goliath” will benefit a foundation for autistic children.
