Saturday is Trail Day in LCF

The La Cañada Flintridge Trails Council will host its 18th annual Trail Day hike on Saturday morning, with this year’s event marking an extra special occasion for the group.

In March, the city completed its core circular trail system with construction of the Trails Council Link, a short but crucial connecting path between Descanso Drive and Verdugo Boulevard.

Trail Day takes place between 9 a.m. and noon at the new Trails Council Link, where Trails Council members will provide maps and information for self-guided hikes. There will also be refreshments, kids’ activities and free giveaways.

Horses, dogs on leashes and bicycles are welcome on local trails and are welcome to participate in Saturday’s event.
