Due to a conflict with the Monday night candidates forum for the upcoming La Cañada Unified School District Governing Board election, the La Cañada High School Advanced Drama class has rescheduled its three-night performance run of “The Happiest Millionaire.”

Instead of opening on Sunday as originally planned, the play will open in the La Cañada High auditorium on Tuesday, Oct. 18, return on Wednesday, Oct. 19 and conclude on Thursday, Oct. 20. All performances begin at 7 p.m.

Justin Eick is directing the play in which character Anthony Drexel Biddle, an eccentric millionaire who collects alligators while happily sparring with boxing prizefighters, finds a real challenge when he tries to run his daughter’s romance.

La Cañada High School is located at 4463 Oak Grove Drive. The house opens 15 minutes before curtain time. Open seating tickets are $10.
