Area residents are reminded to make reservations today to attend “An Evening of Wine and Roses,” which will be held on Sunday, Nov. 6 at 5:30 p.m. This is the biggest fund-raising event of the year for the La Cañada Flintridge Tournament of Roses Assn., the all-volunteer group that builds the city’s float entry for the annual Tournament of Roses Parade.
This year the group is busy constructing a whimsical float carrying the theme, “If pigs could fly.”
The event, which will feature the new Rose Queen and her Royal Court, will be held at the La Cañada Flintridge Country Club, 5500 Godbey Drive, La Cañada. Emcee is Los Angeles Times columnist and La Cañada resident Chris Erskine.
Reservations are due by Oct. 24 and can be made by going online to www.lcftra.org. Tickets are $75 each.
