Santa helps with MACH 1 benefit

Share

Santa Claus made an early visit this year to Tom Sawyer Camp at Hahamongna Watershed Park. On Nov. 26, Santa and his helper were joined by pony Wrigley and donkey Mercy Lavender for photo opportunities with local children. The event was staged by the camp to benefit the MACH 1 Therapeutic Riding Program for the disabled.

For 15 years MACH 1 (Move a Child Higher) has offered equine-assisted activities to the disabled, which vary according to need and ability. It relies on private contributions for the bulk of its funding and generous volunteers for their many hours of assistance.
