Motorcyclist dies in collision on Angeles Crest Highway

A Pacoima man died in a vehicle collision on Sunday morning while he was riding his motorcycle along Angeles Crest Highway in La Cañada Flintridge.
Gor Akopyan, 35, was riding northbound near Gould Mesa when he collided with a vehicle sometime before 9:08 a.m., according to Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station Lt. Mark Lopez.
He said the rider was taken to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena where he was pronounced dead from the injuries he received in the collision. The medical examiner’s office said on Tuesday Akopyan’s cause of death is pending.
A cause of the collision has not been determined and the incident remains under investigation by the station’s traffic division, according to Lopez.
