The Community Scholarship Foundation of La Cañada Flintridge has announced the application period for its annual scholarships program has opened, and students who attend school locally are invited to apply on or before April 2.

Eligible students are those who attend Crescenta Valley High School, Flintridge Preparatory School, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, Hillside School and Learning Center, La Cañada High School and St. Francis High School.

According to Rose Linda Gonzales, vice president of scholarships for the foundation, CSF believes all students — not just those with high grade point averages — deserve an education beyond high school. The Foundation encourages students interested in attending a trade tech, vocational career college or junior college to apply, as well as those who plan to attend a four-year university.

All applications must be complete online. To learn more, contact Gonzales through the Foundation’s website, csflacanada.org. Winners will be awarded their scholarships in May.
