In the Spotlight: La Cañadan David Battaglia inducted into International Academy of Trial Lawyers

David Battaglia, a longtime resident of La Cañada Flintridge, was inducted into the International Academy of Trial Lawyers (IATL) at the organzation’s international meeting in Ecuador in January.

Battaglia is a senior litigation partner with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP in downtown Los Angeles, where he’s practiced for 32 years. The IATL extends invitations to elite trial lawyers and limits its Fellowships to 500 active professionals who have been carefully vetted through a process that includes peer and judicial review, according to its website.

“I’m greatly honored to be included in the company of this esteemed international group of top trial lawyers,” Battaglia said in a prepared statement. “My clients are worldwide including entities from Singapore, the Philippines, Mexico, the Cayman Islands, and the Middle East, and of course in federal and state courts throughout the United States. I’m especially appreciative of the IATL’s international scope and emphasis on the highest legal standards of practicing law.”

A past president of the Board of Governors of the Assn. of Business Trial Lawyers in Los Angeles, Battaglia has also served as an active board member of the Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles and Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services.
