Identity theft: 4800 block of Del Monte Road, La Cañada. Someone used a woman’s personal identity to open an account with T-Mobile.

Assault with a deadly weapon: 1300 block of Foothill Boulevard, La Cañada. A woman driving eastbound on Foothill from La Crescenta just before 12:30 p.m. reported that a man behind the wheel of a gray Toyota Prius that had been driving erratically behind and next to her for several blocks pulled directly in front of her and stopped his car as they neared Memorial Park. The woman said the man leaned out of the driver’s side window of the Prius and aimed a gun at her and her son, who was in the passenger’s seat. The man, described as being white, 60 to 65 years old and with salt-and-pepper hair, seemed to motion with the gun that he wanted her to drive her car ahead of him. The mother instead pulled out her phone, took a photo of the man’s car and called 911. She said the Prius driver then continued on, driving eastbound to Beulah Drive, where he turned right and drove out of her view.

Trespassing: 4200 block of Woodleigh Lane, La Cañada. Between 3:15 and 3:23 p.m. a resident of a home spotted two people (described only as having thin, athletic builds and wearing dark hoods and pants) walking through the back of her property. When they noticed she was watching them through her home’s window, the two ran toward a 5-foot-tall wall, scaled it and went into her frontyard. She called the sheriff’s station, and while she was on the phone with a dispatcher she looked out a front window and saw the two get into a dark-colored late-model Chevy sedan that was then driven southbound on Woodleigh and out of view.

Petty theft: 900 block of Town Center Drive, La Cañada. A store employee reported seeing two black male adults enter the store, collect a dozen Starbucks 20-inch metal tumblers from display, half of them red and the other half silver, then walk out without paying for them. When the employee asked them to pay for the items or return them, they ignored her and continued walking toward the center’s parking structure.
