Recent cold front brings needed rain, snow to local mountains

Thanks to an unusually cold recent storm, Angeles Crest Highway in the Angeles National Forest has a coating of snow at elevations above 3,000 feet. Residents from Burbank and Pasadena drove out to play in the snowfall and take photos of the winter scene. Snow is expected to affect mountain passes through this evening, according to the National Weather Service.
