LC Juniors Annual Fundraiser “Castaway to the Caribbean”

The La Cañada Junior Women’s Club will be hosting its annual fundraiser on Saturday, April 24, at the Castaway Restaurant in Burbank. Proceeds from the event will benefit Habitat for Humanity, the Desi Geestman Foundation, and the Girl Scouts of America (Mt. Wilson Vista Council) as well as funding the club’s numerous community service and philanthropy projects.

Juniors president Bambi Wojciechowski and Ways and Means co-chairs, Suzie Johnson, Julie Milbrodt, and Nancy Sickler have chosen “Castaway to the Caribbean” as this year’s theme. Steel drum entertainment and a rum bar featuring tropical drinks are planned to set the mood for a fun-filled evening. Casino games and silent auction items will also be featured. Guests will have the chance to purchase tickets for an opportunity drawing, and local photographer Andy Kitchen will be on hand to take group photos.

Jill Sayre and Nancy Sickler and their decorations committee are teaming up to create a wonderful tropical setting. Other committee chairs for the event include Linda Boss, Kaitzer Puglia, Annette Fuelling, Elysa Del Guercio, and Marianne Williams.
