Nancy Scott Warnock

Nancy Scott Warnock, 72, passed away April 28, 2004 at her home in La Crescenta. She was born on Jan. 2, 1932 in Jackson, Mich., attended Jackson schools and graduated from the University of Michigan in 1953. She was a longtime resident of La Crescenta.
Nancy enjoyed a successful career as a teacher of Lincoln, Glenoaks and Mark Keppel schools in the Glendale school district. She was an active member and deacon at the La Cañada Presbyterian Church.
Nancy was also very involved in her college sorority alumni group, Kappa Alpha Theta, PEO, and Villa Esperanza in Pasadena. She loved entertaining family and friends, golf, travel and needlepoint. She also loved spending time with her grandsons.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Gordon; and children Scott and Barbara Warnock, Wade Warnock, and Julia and Eric Vander Ploeg. She also leaves four grandsons: Ken Warnock and Drew, Grant and Chase Vander Ploeg.
Services were held Sunday, May 2, at La Cañada Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to her son’s home, Villa Esperanza, 2116 E. Villa St., Pasadena, CA 91107.
