LCHS Band Selling Raffle Tickets

Members of the La Cañada High Band and Orchestra are now selling raffle tickets to assist the music program and to benefit the students.

The music program includes band, orchestra and color guard and involves students from the seventh to the 12th grade at LC High.

The tickets, which are $1 each or 25 for $20, will be on sale until Oct. 29. The winning ticket will be drawn at 3 p.m. on Nov. 4.

There are nine top prizes. First prize is a two carat total weight diamond bracelet. Second prize - neon green I-Pod Mini, third prize - Hollywood Sports Field complete paintball package for four; fourth prize - Nikon Cool Pix digital camera and fifth prize - authentic hand autographed “Lord of the Rings” cast photo.

The other prizes are: sixth prize - Citte’s fall basket of goodies donated by the Cree Family; seventh prize - authentic 2004 Olympic cap; eighth prize - handmade monkey dressed in a band uniform and ninth prize - 10 pound Nestle’s chocolate bar.

The money raised by the raffle ticket sales, the only held by the music program, with go for such expenses as the purchase and repair of instruments and uniforms.
