Sarah A. Loftus, daughter of Frances Ann and John M. “Johnnie” Eckstein, passed away at her home in La Crescenta on April 6, 2005 after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer.
Surviving are two brothers, Don of Fort Worth, Texas, and Mike of Jasper, Ind., and a sister, Mary Rollins of Huntingburg, Ind. Also surviving is her longtime companion of 18 years, Gary Stibal of La Cañada Flintridge, six nephews and nieces and one great-grandniece.
Sarah graduated from Jasper High School of Jasper, Ind. in 1965 and Marion College of Indianapolis in 1969 with a master’s degree in mathematics. She had held various computer related management positions in the oil and banking industry until she retired as vice president of Union Bank of California in 2003.
She loved to cook, golf and did worldwide traveling with her companion Gary and her girlfriends. She also did volunteer work for AARP as a tax aide.
No services will be held. Dean A. Sikora
Dean Sikora of San Diego, born in Los Angeles July 23, 1953, died a the age of 51 on April 7, 2005.
He is survived by his four sons: Andy, Jeff, Ben and Luke and three brothers: Jerry, Bruce and Tim.
