Irony About ‘Bat Boy’

Because I do not have enough information about the upcoming controversial LCHS musical, I do not have an opinion about its being appropriate or not for its setting. I do, however, find some irony in a recently published letter from the musical’s co-author in which he writes that his play is about tolerance after referring to those whose views differ from his as “small-minded and intolerant people.”

With such characterization of those who disagree with him, it appears as if the co-author is not living out what he states is a major theme of his own play.
