LC Teams Get OK For Long Trips

Three La Cañada High sports teams have received approval from the La Cañada Unified School District Board of Governors to participate in events outside the Los Angeles area in the 2005-2006 school year.

The boys’ varsity water polo team will play in the Scott Roche Invitational on Sept. 16 and 17 at Menlo High in Menlo, Calif. while the boys’ and girls’ varsity cross country teams will travel to Clovis High in Clovis, Calif. to run in the Clovis Invitational track meet on Oct. 8.

The boys’ varsity basketball team will make the bus trip to Carlsbad High in Carlsbad, Calif. to play in the Southern California Coaches Classic on Jan. 28, 2006.
