Janice Gouldy Paul, president of the Glendale alumnae chapter of Delta Delta Delta, was named Southern California Woman of the Year. Last week, more than 500 collegiate and alumnae members gathered aboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach for the event, which marked the 117th birthday of the founding of the sorority on Thanksgiving eve at Boston University.

The other local nominee of the ward was Lee Taft Johnson, president of the La Cañada Flintridge Alumnae Chapter. Together, these two leaders have worked to form a close alliance of the two groups. Most recently, the groups have worked to start an evening group for younger alumnae to meet, socialize and develop projects benefiting the USC collegiate chapter of Tri Delta.

For more information about either group, call Johnson at 790-6972.ON BOARD -- Local Tri Deltas attending Founder’s Day aboard the Queen Mary gathered to congratulate Janice Paul, winner of the Southern California Woman of the Year award.
