Spirit of Christmas Shows Spirit

Share

“The Spirit of Christmas” is playing from now through Dec. 27 at the Kodak Theatre. It is a good Christmas show, but there is not much of a plot.

“The Spirit of Christmas” is a collection of Christmas songs set to dance and sung by a great ensemble cast featuring more than 50 singers and dancers. It is one of the most famous Christmas shows in London and is now in L.A. for the first time.

Though it captures the songs well, it is not captivating for the audience. It was sometimes point blank, “let’s just sing.”

The songs didn’t flow. Their tempos were all different from one to the next. The songs were great, but the order was disturbing. It was too random.

Other than this oversight, it was a good show. The lighting was fantastic. The sets were creative, and the costumes were beautiful.

It is good for all ages. Tickets are $25 to $50. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.
