Programs: La Cañada Flintridge Library will offer a series of free opera talks at 6:30 p.m. beginning in January. On Jan. 9, Arlene Stone will discuss Puccini's "Madama Butterfly" Future talks include a behind the scenes look at the world of opera, which may feature costumes, props or wigs on Feb. 6; a program on the comedy, "Le Nozze di Figaro" on March 6; a discussion of "Grendel" is set April 3; a look at "La Traviata" is planned May 1.
Watercolor artist Lana Blades displays paintings in the library's Community Room, through Dec. 30.
Storytime: The Pajama Storytimes have resumed each Wednesday at 7 p.m. The entire family is invited for stories, songs, crafts and more. Pajamas and teddy bears are welcome.
Homebound Service: This service is for people 55 and older or physically handicapped adults who cannot get o the library on their own. Services include pick-up and delivery, directly from a customer's residence, or library materials checked out, including books, paperbacks, large print items, audio books, musical compact discs and cassettes. Call Susan Hewitt at the reference desk for a delivery schedule.
