‘Drugs Are Real’ Topic of Free Parent Forum Jan. 12

A free parenting forum on how to identify the red flags that might indicate a child is involved with drugs will be offered from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, at the Roger Barkley Community Center, 4469 Chevy Chase Dr., La Cañada Flintridge.

The event is sponsored by the Community Prevention Council. Local therapist Paul Royer will touch on such issues as how to stay plugged in to your children’s lives and keep them safe, and what kinds of drugs are being used and abused in La Cañada Flintridge. Royer will help identify strategies that work for parents of teens.

This forum is for parents and interested community members. The forum is endorsed by local schools, the City of La Cañada Flintridge and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
