Gwynne Erin Yadley, daughter of Dr. Richard Yadley of Pasadena and Joy McCallum of Los Angeles, was recently married to Gabriel David Vandervort, son of Don and Bobbi Vandervort of La Cañada. The intimate outdoor ceremony took place on Oct. 23 overlooking Johnston’s Lake in Pasadena.

The groom’s brother, Christian, was best man and the bride’s best friend, Jolyn Curtis, was matron of honor. The reception was held immediately following the ceremony in the lush courtyard of the Pacific Asia Museum in Pasadena.

Gwynne graduated from Flintridge Preparatory School in 1996, where she was captain of the basketball team. She received her bachelor’s degree in business from UC Davis and her master’s degree in psychology from Phillip’s Graduate Institute in Encino. Currently she is completing her internship hours to be licensed as a marriage family therapist.

Gabriel graduated from La Cañada High School in 1994, where he played in the marching band. He graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in communications. Gabriel worked for three years as a producer and writer of History Channel documentaries with Weller/Grossman Productions and played guitar with the popular rock group, Sunnyblack. He currently owns his own antiquities business, buying and selling ancient artifacts and coins. His business, AncientResource.com, takes him around the globe, most recently to Egypt and Jordan, where he did research and lived with local, Bedouin tribesmen. Gabriel also works alongside his father, Don, at Hometips.com, producing home improvement books and websites.

Gwynne and Gabe met through a mutual friend at a barbecue in 2002. He proposed to her on bended knee in a vineyard in Tuscany in 2003. They plan to honeymoon on a cruise in the Adriatic in May. The bride and groom currently reside in Montrose.20051215iri2bpkn(LA)Mr. and Mrs. Gabriel Vandervort
