CIF: More Honors for LC Water Polo Team, Others

The honors just keep coming for the CIF Southern Section Division III champion La Cañada High varsity water polo team and coach Larry Naeve.

Naeve was named Coach of the Year and junior Devon Borisoff was acknowledged as Player of the Year in All-CIF SS Division III water polo selections released last week by the local CIF office.

Other picks were seniors Jordan Thompson, Gamal Rady and Doug McNeese for the All-CIF First Team, sophomores Nathaniel Vail and Max Scott for All-CIF Second Team and goalie John Rowe, a junior, for the All-CIF Third Team. Sophomore Mike Scott made the Honorable Mention list.

In girls’ volleyball, Morgan Anderson, a senior on the La Cañada squad, was named to the Division III All-CIF Second Team.

In Division IV, three Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy players were named All-CIF. Sophomore Sam Orlandini and junior Julie Herrera were named to the First Team and senior Rachel Salvo made the Second Team.
