Sacred Heart Varsity Basketball Skips a Beat And Loses to Prep, 30-21

Unable to generate much offense, the Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy girls' varsity basketball team fell to Flintridge Prep, 30-21, in nonleague play last Saturday.

The Tologs dropped to 3-4 overall. They began participation in the Providence Tournament on Monday and will conclude play today (Thursday). No results were available at press time.

Sacred Heart will compete in the Cardinal Classic Tournament next Monday through Friday.

In the Prep contest, the score was tied 9-9 at the end of the first quarter. However, the Rebels jumped out to a 17-11 advantage at half time and increased it to 25-17 after three quarters.

Breanna Barnhart led the team with six points. Right behind were Ashley Kokawa and Maddy Emanuel with five points each. Nicki Witt followed with four points and Stephanie Obioha-Orakwue finished with one point.
