How Safe Are Your Kids?

“Drugs Are Real: How Safe Are Your Kids?” is the topic of a free parenting forum planned for 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12 at the Roger Barkley Community Center, 4469 Chevy Chase Dr., La Cañada Flintridge.

The forum, led by local therapist Paul Royer, will center on identifying the red flags of drug use among teens, how to stay plugged into your children’s lives and keep them safe, and what kinds of drugs are being used and abused in this city. Parenting strategies that work with teens will be offered.

Sponsoring the event is the Community Prevention Council, with endorsements by the local schools, the city of La Cañada Flintridge and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
