CV Little League to Hold Softball, Baseball Sign-ups for Ages 5-18

Crescenta Valley Little League, which offers softball and baseball programs to boys and girls ages 5-18 in La Crescenta, La Cañada Flintridge, Montrose and north Glendale, is currently holding registration for the 2006 season, which runs from February to June.

In-person registration will takes place this Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Montrose Park, 3529 Clifton Ave., in Glendale. Additional sign-ups, also at Montrose Park, are scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 14, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Saturday, Jan. 21, from 8 a.m. to noon.

Little League is the world’s largest youth sports program with more than 2.8 million children and one million volunteers participating in more than 100 countries. Little League has been serving the youth of Crescenta Valley for almost 50 years with a variety of baseball and softball programs geared to the skills and capabilities of children of different ages.

Crescenta Valley Little League is home to the Southern California champion 11-12 girls’ softball team, as well as to district champions in seven other divisions of baseball and softball.
