Travel back to Old Havana for an evening of romance when Mayfield Senior School’s hosts its annual benefit, “Old Havana,” on March 4 at a private venue in Los Angeles.

Benefit Co-Chairs Tracy Arcuri of Pasadena and Jane Osborn of Altadena invite the public to make reservations for the evening benefiting Mayfield Senior School.

Enjoy conversation over fine wine and food amid an atmosphere evoking 1940s Havana, the “Paris of the Caribbean.” Stroll with past the tables of silent auction temptations as you sip on Cuba Libre while listening to Mayfield Vocal Conservatory singers deliver standards such as “Night and Day,” “The Man I Love” and “Someone to Watch Over Me.”

The entertainment billing also features members of the school’s Dance Conservatory, who will perform a rousing Latin number during dinner. Bid at the live auction called by Charles Dreyer, Southern California’s preeminent fundraising auctioneer. Donors from all over the country have filled the silent and live auction with items that will entice the most discriminating bidder. Among them, a South African Safari, a wine cellar of more than one hundred bottles, a cocktail party aboard a Newport yacht, a party for 75 catered by Pie-N-Burger, and a trip to Lanai.

All proceeds will go toward the school’s general operating expenses, with the special goal of purchasing a new passenger van for Mayfield’s athletic teams, the Campus Ministry and other small groups. To book a reservation, contact Jennifer Barker at (626) 799-9121, ext. 272.
