New Play Scheduled for Glendale Community College

“Something’s Missing,” a new play written by Ken Gray, theatre arts professor emeritus and directed by guest artist Lani Harris, opens today, Thursday, April 20, in the Glendale Community College Auditorium Studio Theatre. The Theatre Arts Department production will be performed at 8 p.m. on April 20, 21 and 22, May 5, 11, 18, 19 and 20. Matinees are at 2 p.m. on April 23, 29 and 30, May 6 and 13.

The story involves an abducted boy who returns as a man. Something is missing from his life and the lives of his family members. The play offers insight into the power of redemption after abuse and the healing that must happen. “Ryan” is played by Clark Magnet grad Carlo Morelli of Glendale. Davidjohn Morris of Los Angeles has the role of “Preston Roberts.” Valley Village resident Sarah Cross plays “Barbara.” “Roger” is played by Altadena resident George C. Mackey. The play contains adult language and subject matter. Reservations are strongly recommended due to limited seating in Studio Theatre. There is no late seating.
