LCF TRA Bingo Barbecue Fun for All

The La Cañada Flintridge Tournament of Roses Association’s annual Bingo Barbecue held at Crescenta-Canada YMCA on May 6 was lively and fun with delicious food and lots of winners among the 125 attendees.

Chaired by Sharon Boettcher and catered by Arbor Crest, the event was the coordinated effort of many Association members. A theme cake donated by Glendale Bakery & Deli featuring a bingo card and strawberry roses was scrumptious as well as greatly admired.

Jerry Martin was the master of ceremonies, and callers of the eight bingo games included Otis Hutchins, Joy Gifford, Joe Thompson, Gloria Winkley, Jim Carbonetti, Shirley Hingst, Don Hingst and Gloria Beyer.

Of the 23 bingo winners, Clara Satterfield, Dave McPherson and Dave Mitchell were especially lucky and won twice.

Other winners were Melinda Thompson, Rose Manning, Daryl Gant, Ruth Lyle, Vance Nelson, Dave Mitchell, Bob Knight, Bill Slaughter, Malak Peterman, Miriam Hu, Catherine Haycox, Kathy Geohegan, Diane Landrum, Nancy Thurston, Rex Quinn, Joe Thompson, Tom Hughes and Dotty Greenawalt.

Winners of the 10 raffle prizes were Carolyn Moffett, Suzanne Russell, Rosemary Hook, Sharon Vincent, Gloria Winkley, Louise Davis, Diane Johnson, Marguerita Riley, Taz Kinney and Bev Ward.

Door prize winners included Sherrill Carbonetti, Joey Mitchell, Ann Neilson, Lois Kirkpatrick, Lynn Thompson, Bill Scherkey, Donna Navarro and Otis Hutchins.
