PETastic! Event A Dog-Gone Good Thing

PETastic! an event earlier this month celebrating four-legged family members, was a big hit for the pet lovers and animals in attendance. The Roger Barkley Community Center expressed its gratitude to the event promoters Keller Williams of Glendale, The Alan Pezeshkian Team at Countrywide Home Loans and Andersen’s Pet Shop of Montrose.

PETastic! was held Saturday afternoon on the lower Foothill Intermediate School Field. A great first-time attendance of more than 120 community members braved the extreme heat to celebrate the special animal members of our families.

“For a first time event things went very smoothly and we are extremely appreciative of the 18 incredible pet related vendors that stuck it out in the blistering heat on event day,” RBCC Executive Director Aaron Solomon said.

There were 35 dogs that completed the first ever Colossal Canine Course. The course highlights were the human size Dog House Tunnel, mini hurdles and the self adjusting teeter tooter. Megan Browne, RBCC activities director, said, “along with the great pet vendors we had two amazing dog training demos by award winning trainer Scott Williams of Beyond the Leash, classic rock hits performed by the International Superstars of Rock, a well attended rock wall, face painting booth and bounce house for the kids.” For further details on other programs and activities offered by the Roger Barkley Community Center check out the website at www.rbcclcf.org, stop by the Center at 4469 Chevy Chase Drive, LCF, or call at 790-4353.lnws-pets.0629.jpg-BPhotoInfoVI1SE0F620060629j1jfbxnc(LA)HAVING FUN ?
