Pasadena-Foothills Association of Realtors Presents Annual Scholarships

The Pasadena-Foothills Association of Realtors (PFAR) presented scholarships totaling $9,000 to nine students from eight local public high schools last week.

Each year, PFAR chooses winners based on several criteria including GPA, community involvement, extracurricular activities, need, personal attributes, leadership skills, and goals.

The students, who each received a $1000 scholarship, were Mary Apajian, Pasadena High School; Elizabeth Cruz, Pasadena High School; Mabel Ramirez, John Muir High School; Tamieko Foster, Marshall High School; Jessica Kwong, South Pasadena High School; Shanna Wang, San Marino High School; Michael Kwak, Crescenta Valley High School; Whitney Koblin, La Canada High School; Sara Locke; Verdugo Hills High School.
