La Lanne -- DeVore Nuptials Held in Mendocino

On May 20, Jennee La Lanne and Glenn DeVore were married in Medocino at the MacCallum House Inn. In the garden of the inn, under a silk canopy made by Glenn’s father, the couple exchanged vows they had written.
The bride is the daughter of Jackie and Tom La Lanne of Mill Valley and the granddaughter of the late Anna Kimmel of La Cañada Flintridge and Patricia La Lanne of San Bruno. The groom is the son of Judith Fenley of Graton and Micahel DeVore of Sebastopol.
Jennee wore a Risatrose gown in natural silk with a finger-tip length fine tulle veil embellished with crystals. She carried a bouquet created by her mother that featured orange and white roses with red and white lilies. The bouquet’s stems were adorned with photographs of her late grandparents, Anna and Clifford Kimmel of La Cañada and Norman La Lanne of San Bruno.
Maid of honor was Cyndi Crother; bridesmaids were Christina Gray, Maryam Noorivaziri and Rachel Pickel. Best man was Paul McKenna and the groomsmen were Todd Gage, Ryan Taylor and Nick Thorsch.
Junior bridesmaids were Katie Kimmel and Marissa Fenley. Together Jennee and Glenn have five brothers who served as ushers: Brendan and Chris La Lanne, Todd and Gregg Brown and David Clausen.
The ceremony was officiated by James Sibbet of Comptche, Calif. Readings were given by the mothers of the bride and groom.
The tables at the reception were decorated with glass bowls full of oranges, in memory of Glenn’s late grandmother, Iris Fenley of Sebastopol. Every Christmas, Iris used to tell a story about oranges, how each was special and unique, as a reminder of the precious and special moments in life.
The wedding cake was made by Glenn’s namesake and family friend, Glenn Minervini-Zick. It was a beautiful white and chocolate cake with berry and orange zest mousse, decorated with candied blood oranges.
Jennee and Glenn met in San Luis Obispo. They both graduated from UC Berkeley in June 2005, Jennee with a bachelor of arts degree in integrative biology and legal studies; Glenn with a bachelor of science degree in business. Both work in San Francisco.
