Edith “Edie” Folz

Edie Folz, wife of Dave Folz and a longtime resident of La Cañada, passed away on June 28.

Her family and friends knew Edie by her charming watercolors and as a gracious hostess. She had a great love for nature, animals and the Sierras, where she and Dave backpacked over the years.

A memorial will be held for Edie at 5 p.m. July 18 at Descanso Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to Edie’s favorite charity, the Sierra Club.

Edie is survived by Dave and her sister, Doris Ross, of Philadelphia.

Iain McGlashan

Iain Laurie McGlashan was born Nov. 27, 1938 and passed away July 1 at Verdugo Hills Hospital.

He leaves behind his wife, Jane Rosell, and his beloved family, Alastair, Mairi, Shona and Stuart McGlashan; Jeffrey and Suzie Rosell; David and Kim Rosell; Morgan, Ashlee and Taylar Wilhelmsen; and Denise and Blake Omartian.

He touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be missed.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m Friday, July 7. at La Crescenta Presbyterian Church, 2902 Montrose Ave., La Crescenta.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society in his name.
