Palm Crest Elementary School to Celebrate its 50th

Palm Crest Elementary school will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year with a variety of exciting events. Kicking off the year-long celebration will be the school’s annual Back-to-School Barbecue on Friday evening, Sept. 29, from 5 p.m. -- 8 p.m. on the playground.

Traditionally an event to welcome students and families back to Palm Crest, this year Palm Crest alumni, former teachers, and administrators are being invited to help wish the school happy birthday and to take part in the festivities.

Palm Crest opened its doors as the fourth elementary school in La Cañada in 1956. The birthday party will feature music from the fifties, Tommy Burgers , a vintage car show, and a chance to meet former and current students, faculty, and families.

Alumni and former teachers and administrators are encouraged to visit https://www.palmcrest50th.com to fill-out the online questionnaire so that they can be invited to the party! Alumni may also contact Darren Bell (PCR Class of ‘79) at (310) 203-1874 for information.
