La Cañada Presbyterian Church: Women’s Ministry Series, Singers Set

Womengathering, the women’s ministry at La Canada Presbyterian Church, will begin its fall series with the topic, “Called to Explore, Serve and Wonder!,” at two different times and locations on Tuesday, Sept. 26.

Three women, in leadership within the congregation, will share their stories of faith at either 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the La Cañada Thursday Club, 4440 Woodleigh Lane or from 7-9 p.m. in Burcham Hall at La Cañada Presbyterian Church.

Lisa Myers, a spiritual director who leads workshops, retreats and trains spiritual directors, is currently assisting in the Christian Formation and Guidance Ministries at LCPC. Kristin Leucht, is the associate pastor of Family Ministry, which has oversight of the children’s, youth and parent education programs. Jennifer Stanton is an elder and was the chair for the Women’s Retreat team and co-lead Womengathering Bible studies.

Newsong, a youth ensemble at the church, made its widely acclaimed debut this year on Youth Sunday. This group will sing on a regular basis in all three morning worship services performing music of all styles.

Newsong will participate in the 2006 Christmas Concert and other exciting events throughout the year. All junior and senior high youth are welcome to participate.

Rehearsal times are Sundays from 5:45-6:45 p.m. in the Sanctuary and Thursdays from 6-7 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
