Photography Exhibit Benefits Foundation

Share

During the month of September, a photography exhibit by local artist Ron Dietel will benefit the La Cañada Flintridge Educational Foundation. Thirty of Dietel’s stunning photographs are on display for sale through Sept. 30 at the La Cañada Flintridge Library, 4545 Oakwood Ave. The Foundation will host an artist’s reception for Dietel on Saturday, Sept. 23 from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Library’s Community Room. One hundred percent of all sales will be donated to the Foundation.

Most of Dietel’s exhibited photographs are of California landscapes, ranging from Cherry Canyon to Channel Islands National Park. He includes a large number of newer works in this exhibit, such as Descanso Gardens Tulips and several color photographs plus a substantial number of his best-known traditional black-and-white photographs, such as Descanso Gardens Early Morning.

A former LCUSD school board member, Dietel has exhibited his photography across the local area, including Hill Street Cafe, the Forest Lawn Museum in Glendale, the Descanso Gardens Gift Shop, and several local businesses. He often donates his work to support the silent auctions of the Foundation and the La Cañada Spartan Boosters. Admission is free to the exhibit.
