Golf Pro Shirley Shin Joins La Cañada Country Club Staff

La Cañada Flintridge Country Club has announced that Ladies Professional Golfers Association pro Shirley Shin has joined its staff as associate golf professional. She will be working as golf instructor and will facilitate golf programs and clinics at the club, I conjunction with LCFCC Professional Golfers’ Association pro Mark Saatzer.
Recently, Shin was a golf instructor at Brookside Country Club in Pasadena and Aroma Golf Academy in Los Angeles.
As an LPGA consultant, she has assisted South Korean golf professionals touring the United States, including Grace Park, Mihyun Kim, Birdie Kim and 2006 rookie of the year Seon Wha Lee.
A native of South Korea, Shin moved to the United States as a teen, and earned a degree in mathematics from UCLA. She played her first round of golf in 1975 and immediately fell in love with the sport. She joined the PGA and was certified as a golf instructor in 1989. She has lived in La Cañada Flintridge since 1987.
