Popular Entertainment Camp Comes to La Cañada

Summer is coming up fast, and every year parents spend massive amounts of time finding ways to entertain and enrich their children between school sessions.

PlanetBravo’s Techno-tainment Camp has been a popular choice for children in west Los Angeles for the past several years, and now it has come to La Cañada Flintridge.

This unique camp teaches students a variety of exciting technology skills such as video game creation, Web design, robotics, Hollywood movie production, and podcasting, to name a few. Camp mixes these important lessons with fun indoor and outdoor activities such as karaoke, Ultimate Frisbee, Capture the Flag — and its own signature game — 9-square.

It is not uncommon for students to leave camp with several multimedia projects in their chosen area of study. Other students focus on one master project for one or more weeks of camp. Regardless of the path they choose, students often find themselves taking huge pride in their creations at week’s end.

Registration is currently taking place for this year’s Techno-tainment Summer Camp locations. Sessions run for one week each and begin June 25 at most locations.

PlanetBravo’ s mission is to provide fun, confidence-boosting experiences where children explore, study, and share multimedia technologies. PlanetBravo strives to make all campers happy through positive reinforcement, special recognition, and humor at every turn.

“It was an amazing experience for our kids! It was an exciting, motivating, educational time with fun counselors and incredible creations. Both the Game Design and the Web Design were a MAJOR hit with my 9- and 11-year-olds,” said Griselda de la Torre of Santa Monica, a PTA president.
