Lanterman House Fundraiser Right In Tune

Share

The Lanterman House ballroom was swinging to the sounds of 1930s and ‘40s music performed by the Sisters of Swing when the Lanterman House Foundation held a fundraising event Sunday evening. Prior to the performance, the 80 attendees enjoyed hors d’oeurves and wine served in the museum’s courtyard.

“I thought it went swimmingly, to use an old-fashioned term,” said Melissa Patton, the museum’s executive director. “The music was fabulous and it was the event I had hoped it would be. It was a fun, casual evening of good food, good wine and great swing music.”

Event organizer Merrily Hake said, “My special thanks to the talented Sisters of Swing who made the event held in the ballroom so memorable and to Mike Shaughnessy for acting as emcee of the event. We are grateful that the Lantermans left us such a unique community treasure to enjoy.”
