Post Office to Be Named for Fallen Hero

Larry and Linda Bryant, parents of 1st Lt. Todd Jason Bryant have been informed by a representative of Congressman Ken Calvert, 44th District, that the Senate has unanimously passed Bill HR 988 designating the facility of the United States Postal Service at 5757 Tilton Ave., Riverside, as the “Lieutenant Todd Jason Bryant Post Office.”

Lt. Bryant, whose parents were both employed at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, lived in Riverside County but attended elementary school through high school in La Cañada Flintridge.

He was a 1998 La Cañada High graduate and attended West Point. He was commissioned in the Army in 2002 and was stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas until his deployment to Iraq.

Bryant, 23, was killed on October 31, 2003, while on patrol in Fallujah, Iraq. He was a tank platoon leader.
