Jessie Skenderian and Ryan Eckardt Engaged

Jessie Skenderian, formerly of La Cañada and now of Long Beach, has announced her engagement to Ryan Eckardt of Rossmoor.

Ryan is the son of Mary and Jim Eckardt of Rossmoor and the grandson of Sylvia Amaral of San Diego.

Jessie graduated from St Bede Catholic School in La Cañada Flintridge and graduated from Santa Barbara High School. She received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from the University of California at Los Angles in 1998 and a master of science degree in sport psychology from California State University, Long Beach in 2003. She is currently attending Claremont Graduate University for her doctoral degree in social psychology.

Ryan attended Los Alamitos High School. He graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in environmental science. He is currently an accounting manager for Digital Map Products in Costa Mesa.

A late summer date in Santa Barbara has been set by the engaged couple.
