Picnic and Carnival Held at Maryvale Orphange

The children at Maryvale enjoyed a picnic and carnival games on Sunday afternoon, April 29. The event was sponsored by the Los Angeles Orphanage Guild on the grounds of the Orphanage.

Guild members invited their children, grandchildren, friends and neighbors to this event to raise funds for the Orphanage. It also provided fun for the 85 children ages 6 to 18 who live at Maryvale.

“Personal involvement with these children was another goal of the Guild,” said Guild President Patti Chertok.

Benefit chairman Lisa Brady said, “It was a smashing success. It was heart warming to see these children laughing and so happy.”

The Los Angeles Orphanage Guild has been fund-raising since 1950 for Maryvale.
