Yun Earns Eagle Rank

Share

Eric Yun joined Boy Scout Troop 509 in seventh grade.

Yun served as a bugler, patrol leader and instructor and is now a senior patrol leader.

He experienced outings at Camporee, Camp Cherry Valley and Joshua Tree and has participated in several day hikes. He also attended the Oakbadge Junior Leadership Camp where he learned leadership skills beneficial to his troop. His most memorable moment was a strenuous trip though the High Sierras over the summer that provided him with a worthwhile experience.

For his Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project, Yun worked to refurbish his church’s cafeteria in Van Nuys. The walls were sanded and repainted beige. Areas with cracks and holes were patched and painted with primer and then repainted with the beige paint. The stage was sanded and varnished with three coats.

Yun is appreciative of the parents and leaders of the troop, where they are always there to help out with any of his needs. He is thankful to his fellow scouts who took a great part in his trail to Eagle.

Yun is especially grateful to his parents for their dedication in helping him earn the rank of Eagle.

Yun has learned many leadership skillsthat he will be able to use in the future.
