A Taste of La Cañada

The 5th Annual La Cañada Wine & Gourmet Food Tasting event is again planned for this year and will be held on Sunday, September 9. It is a highly anticipated community event. Once again there will be about 100 wines from around the world as well as food from over 20 outstanding restaurants, caterers and food purveyors.

Again this year: The La Cañada Flintridge Educational Foundation Endowment Fund is offering a Premium Wine Auction at the conclusion of the tasting event.

The past four years the reputation of this fine event has been building and many in La Cañada Flintridge and surrounding communities have it as a ‘must attend’ on their calendars. There will be outstanding background music. Shade tents and umbrellas add to the festivities and make the afternoon very comfortable along with chairs in the shade and the cocktail tables where you can join others in wine discussions or simply catching up with one another.

The Silent Auction, which was continued last year, makes for further enjoyment and friendly, competitive bidding. The live Premium Wine Auction was such a success last year that it is being continued this year.

This event is put on by the Kiwanis Club of La Cañada and proceeds go to the many local and international projects supported by Kiwanis. The event will start at 2 p.m. and run until 6 p.m., with the live auction during the last hour.
