Tuesday was the 100th day of school in La Cañada schools.
Palm Crest Elementary first graders in teacher Paulette Lantz’s class celebrated the 100 days of school by bringing in 100 items.
They chose what they wanted to bring and displayed it for their class.
The students were very excited about sharing their creative creations.
These are some of the items brought in: 100 beads by Emily Cho; 100 Legos by Adam Lujan; 100 marbles by Winston Song; 100 state quarters by Mira Sands; 100 stars by Erin Kim; 100 red, white and blue beads made into an American flag by Jilian Magtoto; 100 Pokemon game cards by Daniel Mabray; 100 candy kisses by Nicole Reynolds; 100 football cards by Daniel Landesman; 100 fruit loops by Genevieve Fraipont; and 100 paperclips and 100 soda can tops from Phobe Shim.
And Jonas Scheel took 100 legos and built a model of his classroom. Jonas recently moved to La Cañada from Germany and did not speak English when he started school in September, but now speaks English clearly.
