Peterson featured in Korean IT magazine this month

La Cañada Flintridge resident Joel Peterson, who serves on the Governing Board of the La Cañada Unified School District, is featured in the cover story of this month’s Korea IT Times magazine, a nationally circulated monthly for the Information Technology and related industries in Korea.

Peterson, who is CEO and managing partner of Pintoresco Advisors, LLC, a boutique merger and acquisition advising and investment banking services firm headquartered in Los Angeles, is featured in a cover article titled, “How Can Mergers and Acquisitions Change the Future — Introducing Korean Businesses’ Fairy Godmother.”

The article says, in part, “Newspaper headlines often tell us that Wall Street is planning a new ball to choose partners from Brazil, India, and other emerging countries — including Korea. Who can put the finishing touches on Korean companies to make them look outstanding at the ball? The Korea IT Times is only English-language IT magazine in Korea that focuses on Korea’s increasingly global presence within the IT industry and its relationship with the international investment community.

Local new osteopathic doctor

Derek McGrath Browne, a 1999 graduate of La Cañada High School, has completed the doctor of osteopathic medicine degree at the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine of Midwestern University. An official graduation ceremony and conferring of degrees will take place in Sun City, Ariz., on June 6.

Browne is the son of New York native Peter Browne and Chicago native Anne Browne. After high school, he attended San Diego State University. Following next month’s graduation, he and his wife Tarah will complete a residency program in family practice in Long Beach.
