ENGAGEMENT: Christie Ann Manning ~ Joseph Marchese

Christie Ann Manning, daughter of former La Cañadan Steve Manning and Joan Summers, was recently engaged to Joseph Marchese, son of Joe Marchese and Eileen Walker of Albany, N.Y.

The event was announced at a lovely dinner party given by her father and stepmother, Beth, in the Sky Room at the top of the Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles.

The bride-to-be graduated from San Diego State University in 2007 with a degree in international conflict resolution. She studied abroad in England and Cyprus.

Joe grew up in Albany, N.Y. and graduated from Bentley University in Boston with a degree in economics. He currently is president of Archetype Media.

Christie is the granddaughter of Don and Rose Manning of La Cañada. A wedding is being planned for next year.
