Oakwood Avnue in La Cañada, a leaf blower and hedge trimmer were stolen from the bed of a truck owned by a gardener working in the 4200 block between 9:45 a.m. and 10 :15 a.m. on Friday.

Orange Tree Lane in La Cañada, Richard Knapp, 45, of Highland was arrested for being in possession of a deadly weapon. Deputies discovered a billy club, or batan, in his vehicle in the 1600 block at 2:52 p.m. on Oct. 23.

El Caminito and Pennsylvania avenues in La Crescenta, Louis Bruder, 18, of La Crescenta and Zachary Ward, 22, of La Cañada were arrested on suspicion of being in possession of stolen property after they were stopped by deputies. According to the report, a vehicle matching the description of one Bruder was driving was suspected of being involved in an attempted vehicle burglary that took place on Parkman Drive in La Cañada earlier. Deputies stopped the vehicle and found antique silverware along with collectible coins. They also found was appeared to be narcotics in the vehicle.

Bruder later admitted to coming to La Cañada to steal items from unlocked vehicles. The arrest was made at 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 22.

Oakwood Avenue in La Cañada, a backpack was stolen and the front passenger side window was broken in a vehicle in the 4400 block between 3 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 20.

Georgian Road and Chula Senda Lane in La Cañada, a iPod, cellphone and large duffle bag full of emergency equipment was stolen and windows were smashed in a vehicle in between 7:10 p.m. and 8:50 p.m. on Oct. 20.

Olive Lane in La Cañada, a bike was stolen from a carport in the 1100 block overnight, Oct. 10-20.

La Granada Way in La Cañada, several pieces of jewelry were stolen from a home in the 4300 block between 9:20 a.m. and 12:01 p.m. on Oct. 20.

Parkman Drive in La Cañada, a resident said he came out of his home to find another man, described as white with blond hair, 5’ 10”, 200 pounds in his early 20s inside the passenger side of the resident’s vehicle. The suspect fled in the 800 block at 2:25 a.m. on Oct. 20.

Burgoyne Lane in La Cañada, a bag and money were stolen and the front passenger window was shattered in the a vehicle in the 4900 block overnight, Oct. 19-20.

Hamstead Road in La Cañada, gardening equipment was stolen from a truck. A witness observed a male Hispanic in a red Toyota pick up truck take some equipment from the victim’s truck in the 4000 block between 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 15.
