Martha Gregory

Martha (“Marty”) Gearhart Gregory, a former La Cañadan who most recently lived at Royal Oaks Manor in Bradbury, passed away on Monday, Nov. 10, her 87th birthday.

Marty was born Nov. 10, 1921, in San Francisco, Calif.

She attended Burlingame High School and Cal Berkeley where she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority.

She married Chase Gregory in 1942. The couple moved to La Cañada where they raised their two children. She was a stay-at-home mother and an active volunteer before she began her 12-year career as a sales representative for Drewry Photocolor. They relocated to Leisure Village in Camarillo where she lived for 24 years. In 2002 she moved to Royal Oaks Manor in Bradbury.

She is survived by her son Chase Gregory, his wife Cheryl, her grandson Kevin; her daughter Susan Nuveman, her husband Tom; grandson Ryan, his fiancee Elita Loresca; granddaughter Stacey Deniz, her husband Mark, great-grandson Chase; and several nieces and nephews.

She will be missed by all. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Nov. 28 at the Chapel of Royal Oaks Manor.
