Months of training comes down to 26.2 miles

After eight months of training students from Rosemont Middle School and Crescenta Valley High School boarded a bus about 4 a.m. on Monday and headed to downtown Los Angeles for the LA Marathon. The students were members of Student Run Los Angeles (SRLA) and joined over 3,000 other SRLA runners for the event. The marathon was originally scheduled for the first of March but LA City Council changed the date to May 25 due to complaints from local churches. The students trained an extra two months and were a little concerned about the heat but the weather cooperated and all their training paid off.
