Still no sign of missing horse

A 5-year-old buckskin dun horse missing since May 24 in the hills around La Cañada’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory still hasn’t been found.

Lilly, the missing mare, took off after she and her owner, Leslie Boyle of Sylmar, lost their balance and took a tumble down a trail off Hahamongna Watershed Park.

Reviews of the JPL surveillance cameras show the frightened mare running toward one of the cameras and then disappearing from view. She wasn’t seen again.

Although Pasadena Police and Animal Control, as well as Boyle and many volunteers have searched the area, and Boyle has distributed fliers in Spanish and English, there’s been no word on the fate of the horse.

Anyone with information is asked to call Boyle at (818) 359-3947.
